St. John's is a Big East program with no FBS football, so its NIL economy is built almost entirely around men's basketball. Under Rick Pitino the Red Storm won the Big East regular season and tournament titles in 2025 and rebuilt the roster through the transfer portal, supported by fundraising that billionaire alumnus Mike Repole has publicly backed and matched.
