About HowMuchNIL
HowMuchNIL is a college sports data site that publishes estimated Name, Image and Likeness (NIL) valuations for college athletes, alongside the roster, role and social-audience data behind each estimate. The database currently covers every Power Four football program plus baseball, basketball, softball and other sports, and it grows weekly.
What the numbers are, and are not
An NIL valuation on this site is an estimate of an athlete's 12-month NIL earning potential. It is not a salary, not a confirmed contract, and not a statement of what any athlete has actually been paid. Where a figure has been publicly reported, we say so on the athlete's page and anchor the estimate to that reporting. Where no figure is public, which is true for most college athletes, the value is produced by our model, which weighs social audience, on-field role, sport, position, program and market. Every page states which of the two it is.
Where the data comes from
Rosters come from schools' official published team pages. Social-media follower counts are collected from athletes' public accounts and are rounded and dated. Reported deal figures come from public journalism and are cited on the page. If we cannot verify something, we leave it out.
Corrections
If you are an athlete, a family member, or a team representative and something on your page is wrong or out of date, use the contact form and we will review it promptly. We would rather correct a page than defend it.
Who runs the site
HowMuchNIL is an independent project built and maintained by people with years of experience in the college football industry and firsthand knowledge of how recruiting and NIL actually work, from roster building to deal flow. It is not affiliated with, or endorsed by, the NCAA, the NAIA, any conference, school or athlete. You can reach us any time through the contact form.
